SINGAPORE TO
INTRODUCE WEARABLE TRACING DEVICE
Singapore plans to give a wearable device that will identify people who
had interacted with carriers of corona virus
One of the most comprehensive contact tracing efforts globally.
Testing of the small devices follows limited take up of a smart phone
based system
It lies about one degree of latitude north of
the equator, off the southern tip of the Malay
Peninsula, bordering the Straits of Malacca to the west, the Riau
Islands to the south, and
the South
China Sea to the east.

oil-rig producer and hub for ship repair services, and largest logistics hub.
Singapore is placed highly in
key social indicators: education,
healthcare,
quality of life, personal
safety and housing
In 2020, Singapore was ranked
158th out of 180 nations by Reporters Without Borders in the Worldwide Press Freedom Index.
The World Health Organisation ranks Singapore's healthcare system as 6th overall
in the world in its World Health Report.
The government's healthcare
system is based upon the "3M" framework. This has three components:
Medifund, which provides a safety net for those not able to otherwise afford
healthcare, Medisave,
a compulsory national medical savings account system covering about 85% of the population, and
Medishield, a government-funded health insurance program.
