Rajnath Singh will pay a three-day visit to Russia
To attend a grand
military parade in Moscow to mark the 75th anniversary of the Soviet
victory over Germany in the Second World War
A tri – service 75 –
member Indian military contingent has already reached Moscow to participate in
the parade
The Indian marching
contingent will be led by a major rank officer of the Sikh Light Infantry

Scheduled to take place on May 9, the Kremlin decided to postpone the parade to
a later date amid the Coronavirus pandemic
On this day, huge columns of military personnel,
cadets and representatives of law enforcement agencies, legendary and modern
military equipment take to the streets, and dozens of modern planes and
helicopters appear in the skies above the federal capital
In addition to troops from the Russian Armed Forces, contingents from
foreign countries were also planned be on parade
The first official invitations came during the 2019 G20 Osaka summit.
