Democratic Republic of Congo declared a new Ebola epidemic in the western city of Mbandaka
Four people who died in Mbandaka were confirmed as postive cases

Democratic Republic of the Congo: DRC is located in central sub-Saharan Africa

Bordered : Northwest - Republic of the Congo,  North -  Central African Republic,  Northeast - South Sudan,  East - Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, and by Tanzania (across Lake Tanganyika),  South and Southeast - Zambia,  Southwest - Angola,  West - South Atlantic Ocean and the Cabinda Province exclave of Angola.

The country lies between latitudes 6°N and 14°S, and longitudes 12° and 32°E.

It is the second largest country in Africa by area, after Algeria.

11th-largest in the world

It was formerly called Zaire (1971–1997).

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is named after the Congo River, which flows throughout the country.

The Congo River is the world's deepest river and the world's second largest river by discharge.

Over 200 ethnic groups populate the Democratic Republic of the Congo
